Account Information: When you register, we collect your first name, last name, email address, target job sector and location. This is stored in your browser's local storage on your device.
CV and Job Data: When you use the CV optimiser, your CV text and job description are sent to Anthropic's API (Claude AI) for processing. This data is transmitted securely over HTTPS and is not stored on our servers.
Usage Data: We store your application tracker entries, job alerts, achievements, and settings locally on your device using browser localStorage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it.
Jobs Data: When you browse the jobs board, queries are sent to the Adzuna API to fetch live job listings. No personal data is sent with these requests.
Anthropic (Claude AI): CV text and job descriptions are processed by Anthropic's API. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to data processed through their API. See anthropic.com/privacy.
Adzuna: Job search queries are sent to Adzuna's API. See adzuna.co.uk/privacy.
Google Sign-In: If you choose to sign in with Google, Google's authentication service processes your login. See policies.google.com/privacy.
All personal data (account details, CV history, applications, achievements) is stored locally on your device using browser localStorage. We do not operate a central database or server that stores your personal information.
Data sent to third-party APIs (Anthropic, Adzuna) is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties for marketing purposes.

CVAgent is intended for users aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
CVAgent does not use tracking cookies. We use browser localStorage for essential app functionality (saving your settings and progress). No advertising or analytics cookies are used.
